FOCUSCORP
FocusCorp is operated by Buddy app, MB ("Buddy app," "we," "us," or "our"). Buddy app, MB is the controller of the personal data described in this policy.
We collect information you provide directly when you create an account or use FocusCorp, including your name, email address, company name, account ID, referral code information, and app progress data such as focus sessions, session durations, streaks, virtual currency, shop items, rules, and productivity statistics.
We also collect limited technical and usage information, such as app version, device/OS information, app lifecycle events, feature flag events, and screens or buttons used.
We use your information to create and secure your account, sync your progress, show your stats and subscriptions, operate referrals, restore purchases, send notifications you enable, provide customer support, prevent abuse, improve FocusCorp, and comply with legal and App Store requirements.
We do not sell your personal information. Optional website analytics and advertising measurement operate only after you choose to allow optional tracking.
FocusCorp uses PostHog analytics to understand how the app is used and to improve onboarding, subscriptions, focus sessions, schedules, and shop features. Analytics may include app interaction events, app lifecycle events, device/app metadata, feature flag events, and your FocusCorp account ID after you sign in.
We do not intentionally send your password, payment card details, Screen Time app selections, or the names of apps you block to PostHog. You can turn Analytics off in Settings.
FocusCorp also uses AppsFlyer to measure app installs, app opens, and the effectiveness of advertising campaigns. We may process campaign/source information, app and device metadata, and an AppsFlyer-generated device identifier for this purpose. Advertising identifier (IDFA) collection is disabled in the FocusCorp app, and we use Apple's privacy-preserving attribution systems rather than tracking you across other companies' apps and websites.
On the FocusCorp website, you can choose "Necessary only" or allow optional tracking. If you allow it, we use PostHog and Meta Pixel for product analytics and advertising measurement. This may process campaign parameters, page and button interactions, click and browser identifiers such as _fbc and _fbp, the page URL without its query string, and browser/device information. You can change this choice later through the Tracking preferences link in the website footer.
For consented web journeys, Meta's Conversions API may receive account registration and Stripe-confirmed subscription trial and purchase events. Before transmission, email addresses and FocusCorp account identifiers are normalized and hashed with SHA-256. Meta does not receive your payment card details from FocusCorp.
FocusCorp uses the following third-party services:
If you enable Screen Time, Family Controls, Device Activity, scheduled blocking, app limits, breaks, always allowed apps, never allowed apps, or distracting app reminders, those selections and usage thresholds are processed on your device using Apple's Screen Time APIs. Screen Time tokens and selected app/category identifiers are stored locally on your device or in the app group used by the FocusCorp extension.
We do not upload your selected blocked apps or Screen Time usage details to our servers. We may collect limited aggregate product analytics, such as that a rule was saved or how many selections were included, without the specific app names.
Your account and progress data are stored using Supabase and retained while your account is active. Some operational logs, backups, subscription records, and anti-abuse records may be retained for a limited period where required for security, legal compliance, tax/accounting, App Store, or fraud-prevention purposes.
You can delete your FocusCorp account in Settings. Account deletion removes your Supabase Auth user and associated cloud profile/progress rows, clears local app data on the device, signs you out, and returns the app to onboarding. Deleting your account does not automatically cancel an active App Store subscription; subscriptions must be managed from your Apple account.
You may access, correct, or delete your personal data by using the app settings or contacting us. Depending on your location, you may also have rights to request a copy of your data, object to certain processing, restrict processing, or withdraw consent.
You can turn off in-app Analytics in Settings, change website optional tracking through the website footer, turn off notifications in Settings or iOS Settings, revoke Screen Time/Family Controls access in iOS Settings, and manage subscriptions from your Apple account.
FocusCorp is not directed to children under 13. Do not create an account or use FocusCorp if you are under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information to us, contact us so we can delete it.
We and our service providers may process data in countries different from where you live. Where required, we rely on appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the app, by email, or through another appropriate method.
